gun background by artist Sheldon Longbottom.

 

Marks : Linthorpe / HT / 299 / SL (52).

 

 

 

 

 

 

Planter with six double ring handles between

 

moulded rosettes. Marks : Linthorpe / 535.

 

The smaller version number 179 is more frequently

 

found with the Dresser signature and several sizes

 

were produced up to the closure.

 

 

 

 

 

Passion flowers on a graduated spray gun background.

 

Painted by Rachel Smith, who moved to Burmantofts

 

Pottery at Leeds after the closure of Linthorpe.

 

Marks : Linthorpe / 299 / RS 129.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Left, Jug with running toffee and cream glaze.

Marks: Linthorpe / 19.

A later version is recorded with the Dresser signature.

 

Right, Jug with flowing blue glaze.

Marks: Linthorpe / Chr Dresser / HT / 182.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Plate with under glaze black enamel leaves and slip

 

decoration of flowers and Dresser style bird

 

on a brown background.

 

Marks : Linthorpe / 299 / and artists monogram WB.

 

 

 

 

 

Early hand worked pot from the group advertised

 

in the Furniture Gazette in 1880 as Dr. Dressers

 

designs for Linthorpe.  Marked three times with

 

the combined Linthorpe / Chr Dresser mark.

 

These pots are heavy and apparently hand thrown.
